Giving back and helping others may seem like a corporate cliché, but for Financial Advantage Associates, it’s part of their mission. The financial company became involved with L.I.F.E Inc. as a way to give back to those in need. L.I.F.E’s focus is helping the disabled community lead independent lives. “That’s why we do it because it’s just these small touches that can make big, long-lasting impacts on the community and with people,” says registered investment advisor Nicole Harrison of Financial Advantage Associates, Inc.
The investment company has been socially active for years after first opening in 1997 in Rockville. Company leaders have worked with employees to build a relationship with the community, and in turn, have built a trust with clients. “With L.I.F.E Inc, this was an organization that needed our help and wanted our support making sure that part of the community locally here with Montgomery County here in Maryland could get the financial education they wanted and needed,” says Harrison. |
Harrison says it’s given her a chance to see the struggles some within the community go through.
She has a client who spent over 20 years working in the federal government. She later became disabled following open heart surgery and other health complications, including vertigo that has prevented her from participating in normal activities. “Working with her you know has really been a big impact because she’s such a great person and has worked so hard in life to then go from being on the go busy, busy, busy to now in a position where she’s living a very different quality of life but still needs help you know with the money management,” adds Harrison.
There are plenty of financial investment companies who strictly take on clients with big pocket books, but Financial Advantage Associates has worked diligently to make investing affordable to everyone no matter what your financial status. “When we can do a good job with everyone then that news will travel and we will essentially get referrals,” Harrison says. “People will feel more comfortable referring us to their friends and family because they know we’re going to a good job no matter where that person is at life.”
