Nicole Brown is gifted with the ability to transform complex ideas into outstanding imagery that resonates with people – converting them from curious prospects to long-lasting customers. Nicole has worked with more than 700 clients on projects such as book and web design, brand identity, social media management and video marketing.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Nicole has a BA with a concentration in graphic design from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She began drawing in her mother’s school books at a very young age. I have loved to draw and paint starting as a child. My first memories of drawing of course were with crayons. I lay in my bed, sick, home from kindergarten, carefully trying to stay within the lines and very proudly thought I was doing a good job. I painted a woods' path and trees in third grade and would also crayon made-up "monsters" and give them exotic names. In fourth grade, my teacher spotting some talent, put me in charge of painting history's early explorers on a mural, by myself. I continued throughout my childhood painting and drawing.
My art matured especially with a high school teacher in my senior year at Walt Whitman High School, Bethesda, Maryland in 1974. She taught us students the color wheel, color compliments, and composition in a way that was very thorough and new to me. She also taught us art history, mostly focusing on the pre-impressionists, impressionists and modern art. It absolutely opened me up to the art world!!! I worked hard enough to get a partial art scholarship to Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where I attended and received more training for the year I was there. |
Off and on I painted and drew on my own and under other teachers. At age 30, I was fortunate to start taking classes with a professional watercolorist, Martha Seigel, at her home in Garrett Park, MD. She continues to be my favorite art teacher as I felt I really blossomed doing watercolors like no other time. I have gone to her classes in her old Victorian house with a garden off and on for the last 30 years. Currently I attend her twice-a-week classes. This is the first professional art show I have been in.

exploration of expression of his new found God-given ability to create.
Tommy's work showcases his solid drawing and painting ability and his uncanny ability of capturing his subject's emotion and character. Tommy's enthusiasm for life and art is the reason so many art enthusiasts have been admiring his positive spirit and his works for years. My goal is to convey my impressions of things I have experience through life. My interpretations of landscapes, portraits, and figures are inspired by the many people, and artists that I have met or read about. Learning from everyone helps me to become the best man and artist I can be. Creating art is a spiritual high that fills my soul with joy. |
